Editing

I am currently the news editor for The Fordham Ram. In this position, I create the weekly article budget, communicate with writers and offer help with their articles, communicate with other news team members to ensure articles are completed in a timely manner and to ensure production nights run smoothly, communicate with the editorial board to provide updates regarding news articles and edit all news articles for content. I also design three pages of the newspaper, including the front page, using Adobe InDesign.​​

As a reporter for WFUV, I find and pursue stories to include in the daily news podcast. When producing stories I record interviews, press conferences and voice overs using various technologies such as Zoom recorders, recording booths and platforms like Audacity. I also edit all of my audio using ProTools.

In my junior and senior years of high school I was on the editorial board for Carlmont High School's magazine, The Highlander. In that position, I communicated with writers to ensure articles were written in a timely manner, communicated with other editors to gauge production timelines, edited articles for AP style, grammar and content, led brainstorm sessions to decide magazine topics and used Adobe platforms including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to design magazine spreads.​​​
