Scot Scoop writing
As a writer for Scot Scoop, I worked in both the off-campus news and breaking news beats which taught me to work under strict deadlines. I also learned a lot about communication in having to gather interviews with people like principals, students, teachers, local politicians and community members. Additionally, through articles like "Breaking News: Sequoia District's superintendent resigns after 1 year" I learned how to submit FOIA requests to gather more information. Below are some of my pieces of work. You can see my full portfolio on the Scot Scoop website.

"Music may be the best medicine"
Henry Dryer never interacted with anyone. His mouth barely uttered a word. He lost his memory because of dementia. But when music filled Dryer’s ears, his mouth sounded the words in the song. He began recollecting memories from his past, all the way back to his school days.
"Students protest CalSTRS’ investment in fossil fuels"
